We very much regret that health concerns prevent the Rev. Dr D’Arcy Wood from continuing his supply ministry with us as long as we had all hoped. Sunday 21 October will be his last Sunday at Church of All Nations (which also happens to be the day we mark Anti-Poverty Week). 10am worship will be followed by morning tea.
We have gained so much from D’Arcy’s caring ministry to us since Rev. Barry Prior commenced long-service leave in July. His support for all our staff has been much appreciated in this time of transition. He has enriched our worship with his musicianship and preaching. A long commute has not preventing him presiding over the Eucharist on Wednesday mornings.
We have also enjoyed welcoming his partner Janet Wood to worship with us. She is stepping down as inaugural chair of Uniting Aged Care in Victoria and Tasmania at the end of this month.
We extend heartfelt thanks to D’Arcy and uphold him in prayer during his forthcoming convalescence. Best wishes to Janet & D’Arcy for the next stage of their journey.
