You are invited to an afternoon with Dr Nico Koopman, Chair of the Global Network for Public Theology.
Dr Koopman is a Fellow of Stellenbosch University, South Africa and its Centre for Public Theology. He is currently a visiting fellow at Princeton’s Centre of Theological Inquiry in the US. He was involved in the apartheid struggle in South Africa and has been active in the establishment of the Global Network for Public Theology (GNPT).
GNPT is an academic research partnership that promotes theological contributions on public issues, especially those issues affecting the poor, the marginalized and the environment in a glocal (global-local) context.
This is a great opportunity to reflect theologically about thinking globally, acting locally.
When: 2pm Sunday 25 May
Where: Church of All Nations, 180 Palmerston St, Carlton
Dr Koopman will preach in CAN’s Sunday morning service that same day (10am) and will be lecturing in Aotearoa/New Zealand the following week.
