New Wars, Old Wars: Creative, nonviolent responses

Prof. Kevin ClementsThis seminar, presented by Prof. Kevin Clements — a highly knowledgeable and interesting speaker — will compare ‘Old Wars’ with ‘New Wars’ and consider what has been happening to the ‘New Wars’ over the past 20 years. It will focus attention on individual and collective responses to these wars, arguing that most ‘Old War’ solutions are inadequate for the specific violent challenges of the 21st century. Finally, the talk will propose a range of nonviolent, creative, problem-solving processes suitable for dealing with 21st century violence.
