The Church of All Nations (CAN) was so named in the 1960s when it offered simultaneous translation of the Sunday service into 5 or 6 different languages, with interpreter booths in the balcony and headsets in every pew. But this church’s history in Carlton stretches back almost 150 years. In August 2007 we celebrated the 130th anniversary of our magnificent pipe organ.
Today, the Church of All Nations is a busy community hub every day of the week. It is host to the Carlton Senior Citizens’ Centre, the Indigenous Hospitality House and CAN Community Support.
In addition to 2 Uniting Church, English-language worship services every week, CAN is host to a number of other Christian communities offering Bible study, worship and other activities.
